At Hilbre High School, we believe in fostering student leadership and providing opportunities for personal development beyond the classroom. The Hilbre Ambassadors Programme empowers our students to take on active roles within the school community, representing key subject areas and promoting engagement among their peers.

Ambassadors are selected from KS4 and KS5 students who demonstrate passion, leadership, and a desire to make a positive impact in their chosen subject. Through this programme, ambassadors will develop valuable skills such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and event organisation, all while inspiring younger students and enhancing the school’s learning environment.

Our current ambassador roles include:

• STEM Ambassadors: Promoting Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics through events, workshops, and school competitions.
• Reading Ambassadors: Encouraging a love of reading and supporting literacy initiatives through book clubs, reading challenges and mentoring.
• PE Ambassadors: Inspiring active lifestyles and promoting physical well-being by leading sports activities, competitions and fitness initiatives.

Ambassadors can be easily identified by the shield badges they wear, proudly displaying their title and showing their commitment to their role. These badges help raise their profile within the school and signal that they are approachable for guidance or support in their subject area.

Becoming an ambassador is a fantastic opportunity for students to build confidence, strengthen their leadership skills and contribute to the vibrant culture of Hilbre High School. It also provides a strong addition to university or job applications, showcasing a student’s commitment to personal growth and community involvement.
