Our Year 13 RSL Acting students have been studying Ancient Greek Theatre for their RSL Diploma, namely, ‘The Trojan Women’, by the playwright Euripides in 411b.c.

The performers are using the style of a Greek Chorus in a retelling of what happened to the omen of the fallen city Troy after the massacre by the Greek army. Each actor has a solo speech as well as moments of stage fighting, group movement and choral work and song. They performed the play to a public audience who sat around the action either side of the performers to recreate the exciting feeling of a traditional amphitheatre.
