GCSEs and BTECs: Exam Delight at Hilbre High
We are thrilled to be celebrating excellent GCSE and BTEC results this year and feel extremely proud of our students.
Headteacher, Mark Bellamy says, “I am delighted to see these examination results reflect the care, guidance and support we give our students at Hilbre High. We know the new GCSEs are a hard challenge for students and this year’s Year 11s have met that challenge admirably. Just as with our A-Level results, I am particularly thrilled to see so many students achieving the higher GCSE grades in their subjects. We have a record number of grade 9 and grade 8 passes, as well as terrific results reflecting the grit and determination of our students of all abilities. We really are a hardworking, determined and successful school for boys and girls of all abilities. Every student in this school makes me proud and I am looking forward to seeing so many of our Year 11s return to us in September as members of our Sixth Form.”
Students deserving a special mention for their attainment are Thomas Austin, Cameron Thompson, Will Dolan, Adam Karkar, James Pell, Morgan Santos and Charlotte Bagley.
Freya Roberts, Scott Mason and Alexandra Sherratt must also be commended for their excellent progress.
Hilbre High School’s popular and successful Sixth Form still has places available and encourages people to apply, if seeking success in further study, with a wide range of academic and vocational courses available.
